Make way for a Sauternes-wine-finished Octomore whisky! Octomore 12.2 is all about pairing punchy earthy peat smoke with the delicate sweetness and elegant fruit palate of Sauternes dessert wine, and what a cracker it is. Malted to 129.7ppm, this was matured firstly in a combination of first and second fill American whiskey casks. But it was awoken during its slumber to be laid to rest for 18 months in first fill French Sauterne wine casks. Aged on Islay for five years in total, this is free from chill filtration and colouring.
