Winner of the 2009 World Whisky Awards Best Japanese Blended Malt. Ichiro’s Malt Double Distilleries Pure Malt Whisky from Ichiro Akuto’s Chichibu distillery is a vatting of two whiskies: sherry matured Hanyu and Chichibu matured in a Japanese oak cask.

Nose: Lots of woody notes. sweet and floral, unscented soap, pears and green apples.

Palate: cinnamon, nutmeg and licorice and a slight soapiness to the mouth feel.

Finish: Palate smacking sweet spices, sweet woodiness, florals, licorice, cream.

ABV: 46%
