Suntory Special Reserve is a blend of Chita grain, Yamazaki and Hakushu malts matured in first fill American oak casks. Complex, creamy and fruity with a proportionally higher percent of Hakushu malt that imparts classic Hakushu notes of stewed green apples.
Nose: Peaches, bananas and pineapple followed by vanilla and gentle oak.
Palate: Immediate spiciness, nuts, fresh baked scones and stewed green apples.
Finish: Nicely warming and mouth coating with a medium length; nuts and custard over stewed green apples
